10-year yields off lows earlier today to keep little changed around 1.70%
The low for 10-year yields hit 1.677% earlier but have since bounced to 1.704% currently.

NZD/USD falls to a session low of 0.7011, slipping just below its 100-hour moving average
After a poor showing yesterday, the dollar has managed to reverse losses against the antipodeans with NZD/USD seen falling to a low of 0.7011 today.

Dollar extends gains in European morning trade
AUD/USD has pretty much erased the gains yesterday in a fall to 0.7612 as it tests the confluence of the key hourly moving averages @ 0.7614-15 currently.

AFP reports, citing a top official at the EMA
That’s not an encouraging headline following all the drama with the AstraZeneca vaccine in Europe over the past month or so. For now, there doesn’t seem to be much cause for concern outside of Europe, but we’ll see how this develops moving forward.

NHK reports
The initial estimates at the end of Q1 had Nomura sitting on roughly $2 billion losses – one of the worst-hit firms from the whole Archegos episode. While this is a rare event in the market, it isn’t one that investors are too concerned about anymore.
