The vaccine progress in the UK continues to keep optimism flowing
The vaccine rollout continues to allow for the economic reopening, with cases in the UK continuing to ease since peaking in early January. The headline reaffirms that the UK is staying well ahead of the rest of the pack among the major developed nations.

While that figure is progressing and way better than in February to March, there is still much to try and improve on in order to meet any summer reopening timeline.

That said, CBI notes that many retail stores are still struggling despite the reopening:

The thing to note about the economic optimism here is that it has been knocked back from Q2 to Q3 and now Q4. Yes, it will eventually come

A steady session as major currencies hold the moves since Asia trading
The aussie is leading gains as AUD/USD hovers around 0.7780 levels, looking towards resistance closer to 0.7800 but besides that, most major currencies aren’t doing a whole lot so far in European morning trade.

US President Joe Biden will attend the G7 meeting in June in the UK. 
Its the China issue that is likely to be a focus come Monday FX markets. I don’t think it’ll have too much of an impact but we might get an early risk-off wobble on this.
